David Wrench is a Welsh artist, writer, producer and mixer based in London. He collaborates with some of the most influential and innovative artists in the music industry. His work has received nominations for Grammys Awards, Mercury Prize, and Brit Awards. Wrench has mixed numerous Mercury-nominated albums including the 2017 winning album 'Process' by Sampha and the 2021 winner 'Collapsed In Sunbeams' by Arlo Parks.  He is frequently nominated for awards from The Music Producers Guild and has been honoured as Mix Engineer of the Year in both 2016 and 2019.  

 

His credits include work with David Byrne, The xx, Frank Ocean, Sampha, The Pretenders, Caribou, Jamie xx, Blur, Arlo Parks, Florence + The Machine, Spiritualized, Declan McKenna, Manic Street Preachers, Overmono, Jungle, FKA Twigs, Glass Animals, Courtney Barnett, Goldfrapp, Kelly Lee Owens, George Daniel, Rex Orange County, Ezra Collective, Primal Scream, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Blossoms, Yannis & The Yaw, RM, V, Fcukers, Picture Parlour, Jeshi, Erasure, Oliver Sim, Lil Silva, Shygirl, Hercules & Love Affair, Alma, HAAi, Ellie Goulding, Hot Chip, Marika Hackman, Honne, Baxter Dury, Tourist, Richard Russell, Let’s Eat Grandma, Young Fathers, Georgia, Bat For Lashes, and Race Horses.  

David is equipped for Dolby Atmos / Spatial Audio mixing. He has worked on various Spatial projects, including the Frank Ocean live show in 2017 the ballet 'Tree of Codes' which was scored by Jamie xx and choreographed by Wayne McGregor. His Dolby Atmos mixing credits include Florence + The Machine, Declan McKenna, Blur, Arlo Parks, Shygirl, Oliver Sim, Jungle, The xx, Jamie xx, Ezra Collective, Kelly Lee Owens, Blossoms, Porij, Courtney Barnett, and Floating Points.

Additionally, David collaborates with Mix with the Masters and has given talks at various conferences, including the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) and Cambridge University.
